Admission Requirements

To hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in fields related to the master's program;
To possess an academic, scientific and/or professional curriculum recognized as demonstrating the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies by the Cycle Coordination and the Directorate of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University.

REGIMEB-Learning or Distance Learning (EaD)

To hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in fields related to the master's program;
To possess an academic, scientific and/or professional curriculum recognized as demonstrating the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies by the Cycle Coordination and the Directorate of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the Fernando Pessoa University.

REGIMEB-Learning

To hold an academic qualification (bachelor's degree or legal equivalent), in accordance with current legislation, in Educational Sciences or in a scientific area that allows application to any of the recruitment groups in teacher competitions;
To hold an academic qualification (bachelor's degree or legal equivalent), in accordance with current legislation, in other specialties such as psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, or others that interact with Education;
Alternatively, to possess an academic, scientific and/or professional curriculum that is recognized as relevant in the field and that attests to the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies by the scientific body of UFP.

REGIMEB-Learning

• To hold an academic qualification (bachelor's degree or legal equivalent), in accordance with current legislation, in the field of criminology or related scientific areas (e.g., law, psychology, economics, sociology, anthropology, history, police science, biological sciences);
• Alternatively, to possess an academic, scientific and/or professional curriculum that is recognized as relevant in the field of criminology or related areas, and that attests to the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies by the scientific body of UFP.

REGIMEB-Learning or Distance Learning (EaD)

To hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, preferably in Computer Engineering.

REGIMEB-Learning

• To hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Psychology;
• To possess an academic, scientific and/or professional curriculum recognized as demonstrating the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies by the Cycle Coordination and the Directorate of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the Fernando Pessoa University.

PROGRAM: Continuation [of the 1st cycle of psychology, for registration with the Order of Psychologists of Portugal, to practice the profession] and In person

The selection and ranking criteria comply with the provisions of point 2 of article 3, set out in regulation no. 557/2018, of August 17.

a) Alignment of the undergraduate degree's scientific area, or legal equivalent, with the scientific area of the 2nd CE (second cycle) to which the applicant is applying;
b) Final classification of the bachelor's degree, or legal equivalent;
c) Academic, scientific and professional curriculum.

ObservationIn cases where the candidate does not hold a bachelor's degree, the provisions of point b) shall correspond to the average, rounded to the nearest whole number, of all completed curricular units listed on the certificate accompanying the application.
Admission to second-cycle studies (master's degrees) is subject to specific conditions, selection and ranking criteria, and a limit on the number of places authorized.

Application submission

Applications for courses at the Fernando Pessoa University must be submitted online, through the platform. inforestudante.ufp.pt/

Documentation:

a) Certificate of completed courses or Diploma Supplement;
b) Certificate of completion of undergraduate degree or Diploma, with the final grade of the course (*);
c) Curriculum Vitae in Europass Model;
d) Supporting documents for the activities mentioned in the CV, relevant to the study program for which the application is being submitted;
e) Letter of motivation (free template);
f) Tax identification document (for issuing receipts);
g) Identification document (**).

(*) In the case of foreign qualifications:
i. Candidates must submit an official statement, issued by the Higher Education Institution that awards the academic degree, indicating the final grade (if not included in any of the documents mentioned above) and the respective quantitative grading scale used (example: from 0 to 100; minimum passing grade: 50). If this statement is not submitted, the minimum passing grade on the Portuguese scale (10) will be considered. The same applies to any other certificates of qualifications or diplomas submitted with the application.;
ii. Diplomas/certificates not written in Portuguese, English, French, or Spanish must be accompanied by a translation into Portuguese, which must be legalized by the Portuguese consular agent in the country of origin of the diploma/certificate or legalized by [the relevant authority]. Hague Apostille.
iii. Certificates from educational establishments in non-EU countries: For application purposes, simple copies of the certificates are accepted. For enrollment, it will be necessary to submit the certificates with which the application was submitted, whether copies or originals, authenticated with the [certificate number/document name]. Hague Apostillein the country where the documents were issued. If the country has not acceded to the Convention, the documents must be legalized by the official education services of that country and by the respective Portuguese diplomatic authority.

i. Citizens of the European Union: Citizen Card/Identity Card or Passport;
ii. Non-EU citizens: residing in Portugal: Residence permit in Portugal issued by SEF or Student Visa for Portugal; residing abroad: Passport.

Observations

1. Additional rules:
1.1. Applications are submitted exclusively online through the UFP website and within the application period stipulated in the admission schedule.
1.1.1. The documents must be scanned in a way that allows for proper viewing, with the white seals or stamps of academic diplomas/certificates and documents proving the activities mentioned in the CV clearly visible.
1.2. For candidates holding certificates from educational institutions within the European Union: the Academic Services may require the presentation of the original certificates and their authenticated translations, as previously stipulated.
1.3. For candidates holding certificates from non-EU educational institutions: the online pre-registration will only be validated, for course attendance purposes, upon submission, within the deadline indicated in the admission schedule, of copies or originals of the foreign diplomas/certificates submitted for the application, authenticated with the Hague Apostille in the country where the documents were issued. If the country has not acceded to the Convention, the documents must be legalized by the official education services of that country and by the respective Portuguese diplomatic authority.
1.3.1. Failure to submit the required documents within the deadline indicated in the enrollment schedule will result in the cancellation of the registration, but will not exempt the applicant from paying any school fees due up to the date of cancellation.
1.4. For candidates of non-EU nationality residing abroad: the online pre-registration will only be validated, for the purposes of attending the course, upon presentation of a Student Visa for Portugal in person at the UFP Admissions Office.
1.4.1. Failure to submit this document within the deadline indicated in the enrollment schedule will result in the cancellation of enrollment, but will not exempt the applicant from paying any tuition fees due up to the date of cancellation.

2. Other provisions:
2.1. The results of the applications will be communicated by email, sent to the email address submitted by the candidate in the online application, but candidates are considered to be informed by the results available on the online application website, within the deadlines indicated in the admission schedule.
2.2. Requests for information regarding applications should be made by email to ingresso@fundacaofernandopessoa.pt until 2:00 PM (local time) on the second-to-last day for submitting applications.
2.3. It is ensured that:
2.3.1. There are no refunds for payments already made;
2.3.2. The submitted documentation will not be returned;
2.3.3. Applications that are not properly documented, as defined in point 4, will be summarily rejected.
2.3.4. The opening of courses is contingent upon a minimum number of enrollments.
