Alumni Talks: Eng. Informática em Movimento é um evento integrado na Semana da Faculdade de Ciência e Tecnologia da Universidade Fernando Pessoa, promovido pelo curso de Engenharia Informática.

O evento traz de volta à Universidade antigos alunos dos cursos de Engenharia Informática, agora já inseridos no mercado de trabalho, para partilharem com os atuais estudantes os seus percursos profissionais, as experiências vividas desde que saíram da universidade e os projetos em que estão atualmente envolvidos.

Num ambiente informal e inspirador, os alumni apresentam as empresas onde trabalham, as tecnologias que utilizam no dia a dia e os desafios que enfrentam nas suas funções. Esta partilha direta permite aos estudantes uma visão mais realista e próxima da diversidade de saídas profissionais e das oportunidades que o setor oferece.

Ao reunir diferentes gerações de alunos, o evento promove não só o reencontro com antigos estudantes, como também o estabelecimento de pontes de contacto entre a Universidade e o mundo empresarial, contribuindo para o reforço da rede institucional da UFP e para a motivação dos alunos que hoje iniciam o seu próprio percurso académico e profissional.

O destaque do programa recai precisamente sobre esta partilha de experiências, que enriquece e aproxima os atuais alunos do contexto profissional que os espera, permitindo-lhes antecipar tendências, esclarecer dúvidas e alargar horizontes.

O evento decorre em formato híbrido, permitindo a participação online através da ligaçãoZOOM. No entanto, sempre que possível, incentiva-se vivamente a presença física, para uma experiência mais completa e um contacto mais próximo com os convidados e colegas.

Alumni Talks: Computer Engineering in Motion is an event held as part of the Science and Technology Faculty Week at Universidade Fernando Pessoa, promoted by the Computer Engineering programme.

The event welcomes back alumni of the Computer Engineering programmes, now established in the job market, to share their professional paths, experiences since graduating, and the projects they are currently involved in, with current students.

In an informal and inspiring setting, alumni present the companies they work for, the technologies they use daily, and the challenges they face in their roles. This direct sharing offers students a realistic and close-up view of the wide range of career opportunities available in the sector.

By bringing together different generations of students, the event fosters not only a reunion with alumni but also the creation of bridges between the University and the business world, contributing to strengthening UFP’s institutional network and motivating students who are now beginning their own academic and professional journeys.

The highlight of the programme is precisely this sharing of real-world experiences, which enriches and brings current students closer to the professional context that awaits them, helping them to anticipate trends, clarify doubts and broaden their perspectives.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, with the possibility of joining online via ZOOM. However, physical attendance is strongly encouraged whenever possible, to ensure a more complete experience and closer interaction with the guests and fellow students.

Aimed especially at students of the 1st and 2nd Cycles in Computer Engineering at Universidade Fernando Pessoa, this event offers a privileged opportunity to listen, ask questions and learn from those who once stood where they are now — and are now in motion.
