Understanding the regional application of human rights is essential to grasping their legal and social limits for child protection in the current context. As is customary in June, on the 8th, there will be a lecture dedicated to children's rights, which is part of the wider context of UNESCO Chair 812 – Youth, Education and Society (Catholic University of Brasília), linked to the UFP and the Master's Degree in Humanitarian Action, since its foundation in 2008.
The open lecture, which will take place from 3.15 pm to 4.15 pm in room EC 1.9, at the Clínicas Building of ESS-FP, will feature Doctor Cândido Alberto Gomes – holding a degree in Social Sciences (State University of Rio de Janeiro), a Master's degree in Sociology (Rio de Janeiro University Research Institute), and a Doctorate in Education (University of California).
This initiative will allow participants to connect with a senior researcher, knowledgeable about the regional realities of Latin America. It will also facilitate discussion on current issues, such as the use of new technologies and child protection.
This is intended for vocational training students who are postgraduates in humanitarian action, cooperation and development (in-person format), or doctoral students in political and humanitarian studies.
