(EXTERNAL STUDENT)
You don't need to be a university student to attend the Fernando Pessoa University (UFP).
1. The UFP, in accordance with Article 46-A of Decree-Law No. 74/2006, of March 24, as last amended by Decree-Law No. 65/2018, of August 16, allows enrollment in individual curricular units that it teaches to interested parties, designated as “external students“"Those who are enrolled in a higher education study cycle or who do not yet meet the requirements for admission to higher education.".
2. Enrollment in individual course units can be done on an attendance basis, subject to or without assessment, under the following conditions:
the) The maximum number of ECTS credits to which the“external student”"You can register, it's from" 60, accumulated throughout the academic journey;
b) Enrollment in assessed curricular units may only be authorized for one academic year to candidates who do not meet the legal requirements for access and admission to Portuguese higher education;
c) Course units successfully completed will be mandatorily credited if the external student has or acquires the status of a regular student in a higher education study cycle;
d) These individual curricular units are included in the diploma supplement that will be issued after the completion of the study cycle.
3. Enrollment in these curricular units does not confer upon the external student the status of a student in a study cycle, nor does it grant them any advantage or privilege in the admission process to the study cycle they may apply for.
4. For enrollment as an "external student," the school fees stipulated in the respective regulations, available on the institution's website, are due.
How can I apply?
Applications for enrollment in individual course units are made at https://inforestudante.ufp.pt During the respective admission schedule, it will be necessary to submit a copy of the candidate's school certificate, showing the final grade obtained and the school stamp clearly visible.
In the case of candidates with non-Portuguese education:
– School certificates must be accompanied by a quantitative assessment scale, showing the minimum and maximum scores on the scale and the minimum passing grade for a subject;
Certificates not written in Portuguese, English, French, or Spanish must be accompanied by a translation into Portuguese, which must be legalized by the Portuguese consular agent in the country of origin of the diploma/certificate or legalized by... Hague Apostille
– Certificates of schooling obtained in non-EU countries, that is, countries not belonging to the European Union, must be authenticated with the Hague Apostille.
How is the series created?
– Candidates are placed in descending order of their final secondary school grade until all available places are filled.
– Candidates who have not completed secondary education must submit a statement from their secondary school with their current grade point average for that year.
