Nutrition Science students from FP visit the Northern Human Milk Bank.

Students from the Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences visited the Northern Human Milk Bank on April 14th, a national reference unit for the promotion of maternal and child health.

The students gained firsthand knowledge of how this service works, as well as the importance of human milk donation and processing, reinforcing their knowledge of clinical nutrition and public health. The activity was supervised by Professor Joana Mendes and Professor Ana Sofia Sousa.

The initiative stood out for the exemplary way in which the group was received by the Coordinator of the Bank, Professor Diana e Silva, to whom Fernando Pessoa would like to extend its sincere thanks for her availability and sharing. Moments like this, which reinforce the importance of learning in a real-world context, are always welcome!
