Fernando Pessoa University participates in the presentation of advances in the PrecisionPlastics project

On the 9th of July, the consortium for the PrecisionPlastics project – Redefining Recycling with Technology | COMPETE2030-FEDER-01183400, met at EGITRON's facilities, with the presence of ANI – the National Innovation Agency, to present the project's evolution, share the results achieved, and demonstrate the developed prototypes.

The meeting was attended by all consortium partners: EGITRON, Fernando Pessoa University, PIEP – Innovation in Polymer Engineering, SIRPLASTE – Soc. Ind. de Recuperados de Plástico, S.A., and the University of Minho. Fernando Pessoa University was represented by Professor Christophe Soares and Professor Feliz Gouveia. During the session, it was possible to demonstrate the technological advances already made, with emphasis on prototypes that combine advanced automation, hardware, and software solutions, aimed at smarter, more precise, and sustainable plastic recycling.

This meeting represents another important step in consolidating the project and its contribution to technological innovation and the circular economy, transforming research and development into real industrial impact. The PrecisionPlastics – Redefining Recycling with Technology project is funded by COMPETE2030 (COMPETE2030-FEDER-01183400).
