Over the next 20th and 21st of May, the International Seminar “Challenges of Humanitarian Action Today” will take place, organised by FP and partner entities.
The World Humanitarian Summit, held in Istanbul on 23-24 May 2016, was the first such gathering, convened by the UN to reform the global humanitarian system in response to an unprecedented rise in crises and forced migration. Today, the context is even more serious. It is time to reflect on the outcomes with university students, civil society, NGOs, and other stakeholders, and to debate the way forward.
The event is therefore aimed at Master's students in Humanitarian Action, Cooperation and Development or other study cycles in Vocational Training, researchers and professionals in the humanitarian field, as well as members of civil society interested in the subject.
Entrance will be free of charge.
Participants who wish to receive a certificate of attendance, costing €5, should contact comunicacao@fundacaofernandopessoa.pt. Certificates of attendance can only be issued to those who attend the morning sessions on the 20th and 21st. Attendance at both sessions, during this specific time, is a mandatory requirement for obtaining them.
