Researcher Ana Gabriela Frazão-Nogueira, from Fernando Pessoa University, presented at the International Media Literacy Research Symposium (IMLRS) 2026, held in Rome, an innovative study focused on the impact and perception of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in children's daily lives.
The work, titled “Artificial Intelligence in the Daily Lives of Children and Youth,” begins from a fundamental premise in modern social sciences: children should not be viewed merely as objects of study, but rather as active co-participants and credible informants about their own realities.
The investigation was developed in co-authorship with researchers Ana Cátia Ferreira, Patrícia Weber and Tadiane Pop, bringing together interdisciplinary contributions in the fields of media literacy, communication, and childhood studies.
Participation in IMLRS, one of the most relevant international forums dedicated to research in media literacy, reinforces the presence of Fernando Pessoa University in international scientific networks, as well as its role in studies in this area.
