FP boosts media literacy with intensive programme in “7 Days with the Media” operation”

Fernando Pessoa actively participated in the national initiative “7 Days with the Media”, promoting a diverse range of activities involving students, faculty, and the wider community. Through webinars, podcasts, and immersive experiences in its laboratories, FP reinforced its role in promoting critical and responsible media consumption.

The programme kicked off on 4th May with the webinar “Cybersecurity: not an alert, but a sharing”, focused on raising awareness of the risks and best practices in the digital ecosystem. This was followed by days dedicated to practical experimentation in the university's studios – on the 5th, the initiatives “Journalist Heroes” and “Come build a story with your voice”, and on the 6th, the workshop “Journalists and Influencers Online” and the activity “Discover how to make a radio programme”, which led participants to explore the magic of television and voiceovers.

The latter half of the week was marked by the sharing of specialised content. On the 7th, the videocast “Social Media and Violence in Sport: Motivations, Influences and Possibilities” was released, available for viewing at YouTube, and on the 8th the podcast “Listen to me! – Giving voice to children: participating, informing and deciding”, available on Spotify. The week concluded with the videocast “Human Rights and Inclusion Online”, available on YouTube.
