Last Friday, April 10th, the 7th edition of the Center for Studies in Animal Science (CECA) Conference took place in the Auditorium of the Trofa Saúde Hospital – Escola Fernando Pessoa, in Gondomar.

The event brought together researchers, teachers, and institutional partners for a moment of sharing and reflection on the research and innovation developed within the scope of CECA.

The opening session was attended by institutional representatives, reflecting the relevance and growing recognition of this unit. Throughout the day, various research initiatives and projects were presented, and the challenges and opportunities associated with the unit's restructuring were discussed.

Of particular note in this context is the integration of CECA into the Fernando Pessoa Foundation, a strategic step that reinforces its institutional positioning and enhances the development of synergies in the areas of science, innovation, and health.

The conference culminated with the Executive Council meeting and the closing session, consolidating this event as a privileged space for scientific sharing and building the future.
