b) Academic qualifications, giving priority, successively, to holders of a bachelor's degree, a licentiate degree, a master's degree, and a doctoral degree;

In situations where there is no final grade for the higher education course, a grade of 10 (ten) is considered for ranking purposes.
In the ranking of candidates who present certificates proving the holding of different courses/degrees, the best final quantitative classification presented is considered, safeguarding the provisions of subparagraph b).

The prerequisite for applying for and enrolling in undergraduate and integrated master's degree programs at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FCS) is Group A – Interpersonal Communication. Courses at the Faculties of Science and Technology (FCT) and Human and Social Sciences (FCHS) do not require prerequisites.

The same applies to any other certificates of qualifications or diplomas submitted with the application;

b) To the application grade obtained through the application of the provisions of the previous paragraph, an increase of 10 (ten) points is added for candidates who are applying to change a course attended at UFP or ESS-FP. Applications for undergraduate or integrated master's degree programs through this competition are subject to assessment of the capacity to attend higher education, with tests evaluating the knowledge and skills considered essential.
• For the 2024-2025 academic year, the required exams are:
Faculty of Human and Social Sciences
Bachelor's Degree in Criminology (Distance Learning): Portuguese*
Faculty of Health Sciences
Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Sciences: Biology
• Capacity assessment considers:
a) Final course classification;
b) Classifications in aptitude tests or final assessment;
c) Specific theoretical or practical tests organized by UFP.

Foreign candidates take the English exam instead of the Portuguese exam.

The evaluation is based on the following weightings:
a) Final course grade = 50%
b) Aptitude test or final assessment = 25%
c) Specific test = 25%

The candidate must obtain a grade of ≥ 10 (out of 20) in each component.

The grade is calculated by:
NC = CC × 0.5 + PA × 0.25 + PE × 0.25
Intermediate calculations are performed without rounding.
Candidates who have passed 30 ECTS credits at UFP may receive an increase of 1 point, up to a maximum of 20.

NC = application grade
CC = final course grade
PA = aptitude test
PE = specific test

The specific tests are organized by UFP:
i) Maximum duration: 120 minutes
ii) Content available on the UFP portal
iii) Requires identification document
iv) Justified absences may allow for rescheduling, if possible before the results are announced.
Aptitude tests may be replaced by equivalent final tests, at the discretion of the UFP.
Specific tests can also be conducted via technological platforms (e.g., videoconferencing).

3. Failure to appear will disqualify the candidate.
4. Fraud = cancellation of registration.

Required tests for each course:
Nutrition: Portuguese + Biology (PT) / Biology (ENG)
– Criminology Distance Learning: Portuguese* + History

*Replaced by English for foreign candidates

The application process takes place in two phases.
