Fernando Pessoa University, in partnership with Gdansk University, Poland, and the University of Salamanca, Spain, under the auspices of the European Union, is organizing the second edition of the Jean Monnet Module “European Union's political statement on Human Rights in the age of Artificial Intelligence”, which this year is taking place at Gdansk University, Poland.
This project addresses the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, analyzing how technological advancement can impact fundamental rights and how the European Union can respond to these challenges. To this end, it promotes activities such as courses, debates, and conferences with participants from various countries.
O Course The Jean Monnet Module will take place from May 4th to 8th, 2026, and offers an intensive program on the European Union in the Digital Age, focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, and technological challenges, through lectures and debates with experts.
A Conference It will take place on May 11, 2026, bringing together experts to discuss the relationship between Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, and European Union policies, promoting debate and the sharing of ideas.
