Pharmacy students from the Integrated Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences at FP visit the Pharmaceutical Services of ULS de São João

On May 15th, the 4th-year students of the Integrated Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MICF) from Fernando Pessoa University carried out an in-person study visit to the Pharmaceutical Services of the Local Health Unit (ULS) of São João, in Porto.

Accompanied by Professor Carla Martins Lopes, the students had the opportunity to be welcomed by the Director of Pharmaceutical Services at ULS São João, Dr. Pedro Miguel Soares, who also serves as a lecturer to this group of students. The activity, part of the Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy curriculum, allowed for direct contact with the dynamics and complexity of a pharmaceutical service of national reference. During the visit, the future pharmacists were able to observe firsthand the organisational structure and daily operations of a large-scale facility, consolidating the theoretical knowledge acquired in class in a practical way.

A Fernando Pessoa thanks the ULS de São João, and especially its Director of Pharmaceutical Services, for their availability, the excellent reception provided to the students, and the knowledge shared throughout the visit.
