The “Forschung und Kultur” (Research and Culture) Fernando Pessoa Foundation signs a cooperation agreement with the Panathlon Club of Lisbon

The Fernando Pessoa Foundation (FFP) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Panathlon Club of Lisbon (PCL). The signing of this agreement is the result of a strategic alignment based on shared objectives, with the aim of promoting new forms of cooperation between the FFP and the PCL, within the scope of the competencies and areas of action of the Observatory of Violence associated with Sport (ObVD) of the Fernando Pessoa Foundation.

The protocol foresees the development of joint actions focused on preventing and studying violence in sport, such as training initiatives and awareness campaigns on the aforementioned topic. It also includes strengthening ObVD's cooperation with national and Lusophone networks, bringing ObVD closer to the sports network with the collaboration of PCL, as well as active cooperation between the two entities in developing research on this subject. It is also intended to develop initiatives aimed at stakeholders in the sports sector that allow for the deepening of skills, disseminate reference methods and educational resources, and strengthen participation in international projects.

This agreement is to be adopted as a cooperation tool between institutions, aimed at strengthening and expanding the scope of the Observatory of Violence associated with Sport (ObVD) in the study, analysis, and generation of information related to violence within the sporting context.
