The Fernando Pessoa Foundation received a visit on the 15th of June from the Councillor for Education of the Lousada Municipality, Prof. António Augusto, in an initiative that marked five years of partnership between the two institutions within the scope of the “Apprentice for 1 Day” activity.
The visit took place at the Fernando Pessoa University's School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, with the main objective of recognising the collaboration developed over the last five years. During this period, young people from the municipality of Lousada had the opportunity to get up close with the reality of higher education and health-related professions. During the meeting, the Municipality of Lousada presented a symbolic memento to the Fernando Pessoa Foundation, as a token of appreciation for their availability, cooperation, and contribution throughout this partnership, which has provided vocational guidance experiences and supported more informed academic and professional choices.
The occasion was also attended by representatives from the Trofa Saúde Hospital-Escola Fernando Pessoa (HEFP), with the Hospital-Escola having been hosting participants of the initiative since the start of this collaboration. The Fernando Pessoa Foundation thanks the Municipality of Lousada for the recognition shown and reaffirms its commitment to initiatives that promote closer engagement between young people and higher education, scientific knowledge, and different professional realities, contributing to more informed and conscious vocational guidance.
