The DISA-LNT- Digital Innovation in Schizophrenia Assessment: Integration of AI Language Analysis and Brain Biomarkers for Psychiatric Diagnosis project. A multinational validation study of quantitative tools in Poland, Latvia, and Portugal, integrates the international consortium of the DISA-LNT (Digital Innovation in Schizophrenia Assessment) project, a transnational scientific initiative aimed at transforming the diagnosis and follow-up of schizophrenia.
The project is funded under the European partnership THCS (Transforming Health and Care Systems) through the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). At UFP, the multidisciplinary team is coordinated by the researcher and lecturer from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (EMCB), Rúben Fernandes.
Developed in a multinational collaboration between Poland, Latvia, and Portugal, the research seeks to combat the current average delay of 2.5 years in the definitive diagnosis of the disease through the development of innovative technological solutions for digital assessment and therapy.
With implementation scheduled for September 2028, the project reinforces UFP’s commitment to innovation in mental health and research with international impact.
