The Integrated Master's Degree in Architecture of the Fernando Pessoa University (UFP) held an Open Class on September 24 dedicated to sharing academic and professional experiences in the field of Architecture.
The initiative was attended by a former UFP student who returned to the University to share his journey from his formative years to his current professional experience. Throughout the session, various aspects of his time at UFP were discussed, including his relationship with the faculty, the learning he acquired during the course, and the importance of different curricular units for the practice of the profession.
The meeting also allowed for a reflection on the transition between the academic context and the labor market, as well as on the challenges and opportunities associated with the profession of architect.
In an environment of proximity and dialogue, the students had the opportunity to ask questions, clarify doubts, and learn about the perspective of the former student on what it means to be an architect and on the role of academic training in the construction of a professional career.
The Open Class thus constituted a moment of contact between different generations of UFP Architecture students, promoting the exchange of experiences and the rapprochement between academic training and professional reality.
