The Awareness Action on Pharmacovigilance and Adverse Drug Reactions will take place on November 11, from 10:00 to 12:00, in the Nobre Hall of Fernando Pessoa University. The initiative is intended for students in the 4th year of the Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences and the 5th year of the Integrated Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Considering that Pharmacovigilance is an essential activity in monitoring the safety profile of medicines marketed, and being a responsibility shared by all healthcare professionals, this session aims to address fundamental topics such as the definition and importance of Pharmacovigilance, the structure and mission of the National System of Pharmacovigilance, the characterization of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs), their classification, and the impact of spontaneous reporting of ADRs on Public Health, illustrated with real cases.
The action aims to raise awareness among future healthcare professionals about their role in identifying, evaluating, and communicating AMR, actively contributing to the safety of medicines and the protection of the community. Participation in this initiative is an opportunity to strengthen scientific training and commitment to safer and more informed clinical practice.
Although this is an awareness-raising action, registration is mandatory. Interested students must register through the link below.
