The second-year students of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine at Fernando Pessoa University visited the Pathological Anatomy Service of the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Porto (IPO-Porto) as part of the Molecular, Cells and Disease II curricular unit.
The visit provided students with direct contact with the field of macroscopy, allowing them to get a close look at the functioning of a pathological anatomy service and observe the procedures and laboratory routines. This experience provided an important learning opportunity, contributing to consolidating theoretical knowledge, bringing students closer to clinical and laboratory reality and deepening their understanding of the fundamental role of pathological anatomy in diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
The Fernando Pessoa University thanks the Portuguese Institute of Oncology of Porto (IPO-Porto) for the reception of the students from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of UFP, contributing to the deepening of their knowledge.
