FP employees participate in training on "Basic concepts of firefighting"“

On March 31st and April 1st, a training course on "Basic Concepts of Firefighting" was held at the Fernando Pessoa facilities in Porto and in Gondomar, in partnership with the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training. We had the privilege of having, as trainers, firefighters with solid training and extensive experience – Chief Vera from the Melres Volunteer Firefighters Association and Commander Luís Silva from the Porto Volunteer Firefighters.

Fire safety training plays an essential role in any institution, especially in a university setting. More than a legal obligation, it is an investment in protecting lives, property, and the continuity of activities. Empowering the academic community to prevent risks, recognize dangerous situations, and act quickly and effectively in emergencies is crucial for minimizing impacts and ensuring a safe environment.

Conducting this training reinforces the institution's commitment to the safety and well-being of all, promoting a culture of prevention and collective responsibility.
