Opening of external competition for the recruitment of a Senior IT Technician

There is an external competition open, with a view to filling a job position in the category of Higher Technician of Informatics at the Fernando Pessoa Foundation for Teaching and Culture.

1. This competition is intended for external candidates to FECFP.;
2. Workplace – UFP and ESS-FP;
3. Working hours – The normal working period is 40 (forty) hours per week.
4. Admission requirements – Candidates holding the following requirements by the end of the application deadline may be admitted to this competition:

a) Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field;
b) Ability to analyse, design and optimise computer systems and processes;
c) Knowledge of software architecture, systems integration and digital services;
d) Knowledge of software development, testing, and quality control methodologies;
e) Experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of computer applications and information systems;
f) Experience in the administration and management of Windows databases and technological platforms;
g) Concepts of cybersecurity, data protection, and good IT security practices;
h) Ability to produce technical and functional documentation;
i) Experience in technical support and monitoring technological projects;
j) Ability to work in a team, organisation, autonomy and results orientation;
k) Good communication and interpersonal skills;
l) Sense of responsibility, technical rigour, and initiative;
m) Capacity for innovation and continuous learning.

5.Roles to be Performed:

Exercise of higher technical functions in the area of computer engineering, namely, analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of computer systems and applications, ensuring technological support for FECFP activities.

To coordinate administrative and academic management information systems, gather and analyse functional and technical requirements, process modelling, database administration and maintenance, integration of digital platforms and services, as well as the implementation of modernisation and digital transformation solutions.

Participation in defining technological architectures, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of information systems, carrying out tests, monitoring and optimising applications, ensuring compliance with standards and good development practices.

Provision of specialised technical support, drafting of technical and functional documentation, monitoring of technological projects, and collaboration in the implementation of development methodologies and continuous improvement of FECFP's IT services.

8. Validity period – The competition opened by this edit is valid for filling the stated job positions, ending with their occupation.

The employment contract, as well as the remuneration, will be appropriate to the degree of compatibility between the personal qualities and technical capabilities we seek in the candidate and those that they manage to demonstrate to us.
