In the days 26th and 27th September 2026, take place the Integrative Health Training Days, an initiative by the Integrative Academy that brings together national and international experts, also featuring the participation of teaching staff of Fernando Pessoa.
This training pathway is aimed at students and healthcare professionals who wish to complement their training, deepen their knowledge and engage with different clinical, scientific and humanised perspectives.
26 September – 2nd Integrative Academy Forum
The first day will be dedicated to the main challenges associated with metabolic syndrome, promoting reflection on prevention, diagnosis and intervention through a multidisciplinary approach.
27th September – 1st Integrative Health Training Day
In the first module, topics such as the following will be covered:
- Integrative health and prevention;
- Metabolic syndrome;
- Supplementation and GLP-1 activation;
- Chronic oral inflammation;
- Lipoedema;
- Biomarkers of metabolic dysfunction;
- Emotion and psyche in the healing process;
- Tongue diagnosis and Traditional Chinese Medicine;
- Metabolic syndrome in children.
The programme will feature professionals from various health disciplines, among whom Dr Lair Ribeiro, cardiologist, specialist in Nutritional Medicine and author of several scientific publications and books in the field of health.
Participation will allow students to connect directly with specialists, deepen their knowledge beyond the curriculum, learn about different assessment and intervention methods, and develop a more comprehensive and integrative view of health.
Module timetable
- 1st module: 27th September 2026;
- 2nd module: 24 October 2026;
- 3rd module: 23 January 2027.
