UFP hosts the IV International Congress of Political Science and International Relations dedicated to "Geopolitics and the New World Order"“

On April 20th, a Monday, the 4th Edition of the 2026 International Congress of Political Science and International Relations – IV CI CPRI 2026, dedicated to the theme “Geopolitics and the New World Order”, took place in the Noble Hall of the Fernando Pessoa University.

In front of a consistently full auditorium, mostly made up of students, the opening and closing sessions took place, dedicated to the themes of “Value Based Management for World Peace” and “The Impact on Global Health of the (Dis)organisation of Cooperation Policy”, as well as three round tables dedicated to the themes “Military Blocs and World Peace”, “The New Challenges of Geopolitics” and “Geopolitics and the World Economy”.

The moderators and speakers were fifteen reputed specialists from multiple fields, from Turkey, Colombia, Spain, and Portugal, representing Universities, Diplomacy, Armed Forces, and Business Associations.

In the four “Parallel Sessions,” moderated by four FP professors, twenty-seven topics were presented and widely debated by thirty-nine researchers.

With the valuable sponsorship of the Fernando Pessoa Foundation for Education and Culture and the Fernando Pessoa University, the event also had institutional partnerships of recognised merit, notably the IKSAD Institute of Economic Development and Social Research Turkey, the JusGov — Centre for Research on Justice and Governance of FDUM, oh CEPESE — Centre for Studies on Population, Economy and Society, oh FP‑I3ID – Institute for Research, Innovation and Development, o Political Observatory (Portugal) and the exceptional support of Political Science and International Relations Student Nucleus of UFP.

By 2027, the 5th International Congress of Political Science and International Relations – 5th IC PSIR 2027 – is being prepared, which is expected to take place in April.
