The curriculum for the first cycle in Psychology is in accordance with the European Diploma in Psychology – Europsy –, from the European Federation of Psychologists Associations (EFPA), and the Portuguese Order of Psychologists (OPP). The study cycle lasts 6 semesters and the curricular units that comprise it, totaling 36, correspond to 180 ECTS credits, accredited by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education for 6 years.
The teaching of Psychology at Fernando Pessoa University has the following main objectives: i) to provide students with a solid education in scientific, professional and ethical terms, equipping them with specific skills to promote the development, well-being and effectiveness of individuals, groups and/or organizations; ii) to develop knowledge and promote essential skills for a general education in Psychology, providing a solid foundation for pursuing postgraduate studies, indispensable for practicing as a psychologist; iii) to enable reflection and critical analysis of knowledge in Psychology and related areas; iv) to provide a broad and integrative foundation of knowledge, enhancing more personalized learning paths and promoting the active participation of students in the educational project.

ERASMUS+ EXCHANGE
Students at the Fernando Pessoa University (UFP) who meet the eligibility criteria have the opportunity to undertake periods of study and/or internships through international mobility programs.
International student study periods are carried out at higher education institutions outside of Portugal with which UFP maintains student exchange agreements under the Erasmus+ Program (within the European area), or other existing bilateral exchange agreements.
