The Institutional Communication Service (SCI) organises various types of events, such as thematic conferences, book launches and presentations, concerts, exhibitions, academic ceremonies, among others.

This office also supports the organisation of events of interest to the community of João Pessoa within the scope of academic and R&D activities, in accordance with the following procedures:

The applicant(s) submit(s) the request for event support via the form available below.

The GCI analyses the proposal, checking if the following information is provided:
– Type of event to organise;
– Requested space;
– Date and time of the event;
– Estimated number of participants;
– Need for audiovisual and photographic support;
– Need for human resources;
– Budget (the SCI can assist with its preparation, if necessary);
– Higher authorisation (if already granted).

Any event proposal must follow the event manual and regulations available here.

In the case of international events, which may be more complex, the procedure remains the same:
– The applicant(s) submit the request for event support using the form available below.

After gathering all the necessary information, specifically the superior authorisation from the Rectorate, Deans and/or Presidency, the GCI begins planning the organisation and dissemination of the event, in conjunction with the proposers, particularly with regard to:
– Development of the event's web page (if justified);
– Compilation of information for insertion on the web page, with the collaboration of the Graphic Workshop;
– Request for social media dissemination through SCI;
– Sending information for dissemination via the pessoana community emails;
– Development of communication materials, such as:
Posters;
Invitations;
Leaflets/flyers.
