The students of Political Science and International Relations from Fernando Pessoa University, Eliseu Vasconcelos and Mariana Ribeiro, facilitated sessions on Integrity and Prevention of Corruption, aimed at students of the 9th grade of the Gondomar School Group No. 1.
The sessions, held on October 9th, took place as part of the Citizenship and Development project, integrating the national initiative “Days of Integrity and Anti-Corruption”, promoted by the National Anti-Corruption Mechanism (MENAC), in coordination with the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Justice. Through a dynamic and participatory approach, the students sought to sensitize young people about the importance of ethics, integrity, transparency and responsibility, promoting reflection on everyday dilemmas, the prevention of corruption and the role of each citizen in defending democratic values.
This experience allowed for the academic knowledge to be brought closer to the school environment, encouraging critical thinking and civic participation among the youngest generation. The initiative thus reinforces the importance of education for integrity from an early age, contributing to the formation of more aware, responsible, and committed citizens for a more just and transparent society.
