Artur Miler, a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences of UFP, in the Integrated Master's Degree in Dentistry, has been selected nationwide as one of the 60 participants in the 3rd edition of Health Parliament Portugal. The initiative is promoted by the NOVA University of Lisbon, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Expresso and Microsoft, and brings together 60 professionals from different fields who, over the course of about six months, join one of six thematic committees dedicated to debating strategic health challenges in Portugal, with the aim of drawing up policy recommendations to be presented to decision-makers and the Assembly of the Republic. “It is a privilege to be able to contribute, alongside professionals from different fields, to the reflection on the future of health in Portugal, representing, in a way, Universidade Fernando Pessoa in this national debate,” states Prof. Artur Miler.
Prof. Artur Miler's participation in this project reinforces UFP's presence in national forums for discussion on health policy, in line with the work carried out by FCS-UFP in the training of healthcare professionals.
