The 4th-year Nutrition Science undergraduate student, Bárbara Martins, won an Honourable Mention for Best Oral Communication, in the Clinical Nutrition category, at the XXV Congress of Nutrition and Food, held at Alfândega do Porto on the 28th and 29th of May.
Bárbara Martins presented the topic “Association of Fat Mass Assessed by Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry with Handgrip Strength – Results of the NutriFunction Project”, under the supervision and co-supervision of professors Joana Mendes and Ana Sofia Sousa. Lecturers Rita Guerra and Cláudia Silva are also co-authors of the work, which is the result of a partnership between the Fernando Pessoa University (UFP) and the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto (FCNAUP).
