School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (EMCB) opened its doors to secondary school students

The Fernando Pessoa University's School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences held another edition of the Open Campus @ Medicina, an initiative aimed at secondary school students interested in getting a closer look at training in the field of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Throughout the morning, participants had the opportunity to discover the School's facilities, learn about its educational offerings, and engage with the technological and laboratory resources that are integral to medical education at Fernando Pessoa.

The programme began with a welcome session and institutional presentation, followed by a guided tour of the School's various areas. Subsequently, the students participated in several practical activities, including the digital exploration of human anatomy via the platform Complete Anatomy, laboratory experiences and a demonstration with a high-fidelity mannequin, used in clinical simulation.

These activities allowed participants to experience, in a practical and interactive way, some of the teaching methodologies used at the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, providing first-hand contact with the academic environment and the reality of medical training.

The initiative therefore provided an opportunity to clarify doubts, meet academics and students, and gain a closer understanding of academic and professional pathways in the health sciences, reinforcing the University Fernando Pessoa's commitment to bringing future students closer to the university experience.
